Have you ever wondered what it's like to wear a bee suit, peek inside a busy beehive, or practice beekeeping before getting your own hobby hive? Look no further - this is the perfect opportunity for you! Located in Ngāruawāhia, a mere 10-minute drive from The Base, Hamilton, this once-in-a-lifetime Beekeeping Experience offers an unforgettable adventure. You'll receive a comprehensive Health and Safety briefing before donning a professional bee suit and PPE gear. Watch as a full-size beehive is opened before your very eyes, and learn all about the fascinating life cycle and behavior of bees. Feel free to ask questions throughout the demonstration, and even compete to see who can locate the queen bee first! Participants are also welcome to try out the tools of the trade, and for the brave-hearted, hold a frame full of buzzing bees. One-hour Bee Experiences are offered every weekend at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm, as well as during all NZ school holidays. Don't miss out on this opportunity to witness the magical world of bees!
